Pupil Premium

Central government gives funding for schools to support pupils from deprived backgrounds. This funding is called the 'Pupil Premium'. It is designed to close the gap in learning and achievement for those children from less advantaged backgrounds. At St Elizabeth, we are committed to ensuring excellence for all pupils. This year, our pupil premium is being used in the following ways:

  • Numbers Count - supporting early mathematical skills acquisition
  • Support for access to extra curricular activities
  • Booster classes in English and Mathematics
  • Musical instrument tuition

On the March 2011 12 boys from year 2 upwards were taken by the Learning Mentor Team to The London Wetland Centre In Barnes. The Centre is a bird and wildlife sanctuary and school trips are free courtesy of London’s Mayor. They all had an excellent day and were complimented for their behaviour and interest especially in the viewing turrets where respect must be shown for other more experienced bird spotters.
