St. Elizabeth Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Please follow this link to access our Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedures.

Pupil Premium

Central government gives funding for schools to support pupils from deprived backgrounds. This funding is called the 'Pupil Premium'. It is designed to close the gap in learning and achievement for those children from less advantaged backgrounds. At St Elizabeth, we are committed to ensuring excellence for all pupils. This year, our pupil premium is being used in the following ways:

  • Numbers Count - supporting early mathematical skills acquisition
  • Support for access to extra curricular activities
  • Booster classes in English and Mathematics
  • Musical instrument tuition

SUMMER FETE
Our School Summer Fete will be held on Saturday 22nd June 2013. This is such an important event in the life of the school. It brings our community together for an enjoyable, social occasion and at the same time generates extra income for the school. This income helps to meet the costs of a range of trips, extracurricular experiences for the children and equipment which the school otherwise could not afford.

Calling Parents, Staff and Governors!
We need your help! We need volunteers with ideas! We are appealing for help from parents as well as staff and governors. This is an ideal opportunity for giving something to the school for the benefit of our children.

See PHOTOS of the disco and a movie below!

TRAVEL PLAN
We are in the process of updating our School Travel Plan. Again, we are going for Gold and, to achieve this, we need to demonstrate our serious commitment to promoting sustainable means of travel to school through an increased number of initiatives. We welcome involvement from parents and the community so if you would like to help do please contact Miss Hair, our travel plan co-ordinator, via the school office.

OFSTED 2013
Please find a pdf of the latest OFSTED report here. Parents and carers, you should have received a letter this week notifying you of the cancellation of the meetings scheduled for Thursday 18th April.

Teacher and Phase Leader vacancy information - April 2013

Watch out for information on our other brilliant Parents Workshops organised by Sue Braniff. You may be aware that the Nursery has taken over the Community House whilst work is underway for the new nursery. All parent classes will run from the ICT suite situated in the school building, next to the library. Please feel free to call in to access information or to use a computer. Our flower arranging class by Prafula was very much enjoyed. More photos.
